National Employment Service Center (NESC)
The National Employment Service Centre [NESC] is a public agency that serves the Somali people in facilitating employment and workforce development.
NESC incorporated with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA), Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is a key institution established with the primary objective of addressing the nation’s acute unemployment challenges.
The Centre operates with a clear mandate to bridge the gap between jobseekers and employers, facilitating the transition from unemployment to sustainable employment. Its key objectives encompass implementing the national employment policy, deliver employability services, provide career guidance to jobseekers, Implementing Labour Market Information and Analysis System [LMIAS] and career counseling services.
Vision
To minimise worklessness and unemployment by supporting all citizens to be in employment, education or training.
Mission
To establish a network of Employment Service Centers in strategic locations across the country, that can competently support local people to overcome unemployment barriers.
