The NESC will provide the tools and support to job seekers to evaluate their skills, abilities and qualifications. Participants will be able to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for development that align with labour market needs and their career aspiration.

Training

The Employment Center offers a variety of training programmes and resources to help job seekers enhance their skills, boost their employability, and secure meaningful jobs that lead to careers. The center provides both in-housing training and signposting to TVET and relevant third party institutions. Our menu of common training opportunities delivered at the center include:

  • Sector Specific Training

CV and Interview

The Employment Center advocates for competency based recruitment in order to extend job opportunities to the masses of unemployed people that lack agency and network. Primary deliverable is to assist participants to upgrade their CV & cover letter and enhance their interview skills.

The Center hosts competent employment officers that provide training and coaching in both 1:2:1 format and in group sessions.

The training encompasses latest research and trend in helping job seekers to compile a CV that stands out and succeed in job interviews by being well-prepared and confident.

Job Counseling

We offer a professional service designed to help individuals explore, plan, and achieve their career goals. It involves personalised guidance and support from a trained counsellor or advisor to address various aspects of employment and career development.

The participant will receive personalised coaching throughout their journey to employment.

Skills Audit

The NESC will provide the tools and support to job seekers to evaluate their skills, abilities and qualifications.

Participants will be able to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for development that align with labour market needs and their career aspiration.

Labour Market Information

The Center compiles data and insights about the world of work, including details on employment trends, job availability, industry demands, employment rich growth-sectors, wages, skills requirements, and more. It helps individuals, employers, and policymakers make informed decisions about employment, training, and workforce planning.

The Center will incorporate Labour Market Information & Analysis System [LMIAS] that will be able to publish employment and industry figures such as growth sectors and skills in demand in order to help job seekers better align with their career aspirations with the growth agenda

Life Skills

Educational programmes designed to equip individuals with the practical skills and knowledge needed to navigate personal, social, and professional challenges effectively.

These skills promote independence, resilience, and adaptability in everyday life and work. Our life skills workshops are tailored to increase the employability of vulnerable communities by availing opportunities to raise their understanding of essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, citizenship, political participation, etc.
